Projects:John Cale

Concerts

It didn’t take much for us to get on board with Mr Cale, not just because he was in the Velvet Underground, but also because he wanted us to perform his orchestral art-rock album inspired by the Treaty of Versailles – 1973’s Paris 1919, and other tracks from his notable songbook.

We did a couple of fantastic shows with a sizeable orchestra at the Royal Festival Hall in London and Norwich Festival with conductor/composer Ben Foster.

“If the purely orchestral title track sounds as majestic as you would hope, then some songs sound even better than before”
