John Grant is an American singer and songwriter who came to prominence as the co-founder, lead vocalist, pianist, and primary songwriter for the alternative rock band the Czars.
Since then John has done rather well on his own, penning some properly good music and in the spring of 2014 got a nomination in the Best International Male Solo Artist category at the BRITS alongside Eminem, Justin Timberlake, Bruno Mars and Drake, like some sort of fantasy dreamt up in a moment of outrageous hubris.
